St. Pete Pride ‘08: A photo story

The St. Pete Pride Street Festival and Promenade on the last weekend of June attracted people from every corner of the Bay Area and beyond. Despite sweltering heat and the threat of rain, folks lined the streets from Georgie's Alibi to Central Avenue in St. Pete. The Promenade's finale was the unraveling of the "world's largest Pride flag," stretching nearly a quarter-mile long. Creative Loafing's summer intern Amelia Harnish snapped photos and chatted with partiers along Central Avenue for a slideshow of the celebration.
