Started more than 30 years ago, Tampa Greek Festival uses wonderful food and inventive spirits — plus dancing, music and shopping — to immerse locals in the rich history and culture of Greece. This year's installment is scheduled open at 11 a.m. each day, running from Friday, Nov. 9, through Sunday, Nov. 11.
Snack on a Mediterranean-style pastry (or three) while perusing the marketplace or before busting a move at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church. Featured menu items include lemon chicken, gryos, slow-simmered lamb shank, baklava and meatballs.
Also, an online-only offer gets festgoers one gourmet coffee, one regular order of hot Greek doughnuts and one ticket for $5.
