Lizzo is now rocking a jean jacket from Tampa artist Cam Parker.

Parker has already painted a giant Lizzo mural near the corner of Nebraska Avenue and Columbus Drive in VM Ybor, but the Tampa artist has a knack for gifting musicians with custom art (read: Lady Gaga, Janelle Monáe, Diana Ross).

However, recently Parker struck a chord with Lizzo, who is headed to Tampa’s Yuengling Center on September 10.

During Lizzo’s recent Atlanta show, Parker, 35, gave the 31-year-old hip-hop rising star a big ass jean jacket with her face on the back. Parker even upped the ante for his Atlanta antics by gifting members of Lizzo’s team custom denim jackets of their own.

Parker wouldn’t tell CL if he has anything planned for Lizzo’s Tampa date, but he did buy tickets for that show, too.

“I took her and her glam squad custom painted jackets as a gesture of love and appreciation for all that they do,” Parker said, adding that Lizzo’s message of self-love resonates with him.

“She’s black and fat and basically a bunch of things that America doesn’t deem pretty, acceptable or enough. She preaches that you are enough and that you can be your own damn soulmate,” Parker said. “She makes me feel like I can pick up a mountain and move it 5 feet over — the definition of empowerment.”
