A video shows a shark slamming into a young surfer last weekend at New Smyrna Beach, also known as the “shark bite capital of the world.”
According to WESH, 9-year-old surfer Chandler Moore of Oviedo was filming himself on the waves when he took a spill seemingly out of nowhere. When he and his father, Shaun Moore, went back to inspect the footage, they noticed a blacktip shark was the culprit.
Moore then posted the video to Twitter.
Apparently, the incident won’t keep Chandler out of the water. “I still have no concerns. So basically, I want to keep surfing some more,” said Chandler to the station.
