Intervals w/Jason Richardson/Nick Johnston/Night Verses For his 2017 album, Toronto-based composer and guitarist Aaron Marshall reached back towards his childhood and mined the sounds that made him excited to make music in the first place. “The Way Forward is a really interesting literary concept to me in the context of this record,” Marshall, the driving force behind Intervals, recently told Guitar World. “While I explored some new ground with these songs, I managed to find those elements by way of acknowledging my past. Every song has its own thing going on, and I’m excited for everyone to hear it all.” Fans have had a couple months with the record, so expect a healthy crowd of them to be in Ybor for this prog-metal show featuring ex-Born of Osiris guitarist Jason Richardson, another Canadian guitarist (Nick Johnston) and bi-coastal post-rock outfit Night Verses.
