If you love reality TV and mid-’90s boy bands enough to gather at a fancy driving range bar and restaurant with other humans, then you might want to head to Topgolf in Tampa on Sunday, Jan. 17.

In an email to Creative Loafing Tampa Bay, promoters for the event said that due to the uncertainty following Wednesday's events at the U.S. Capitol, the event has been postponed. "As soon as we have a new date locked down, we will be in touch," promoters

That’s when comedian James “Murr” Murray (“Impractical Jokers,” The Tenderloins) and ‘Nsync-er-turned food truck kingpin and Masked Singer Joey Fatone will appear at two family-friendly Q&A sessions set for 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

A press release says the event features socially-distanced opportunities to meet Murray and Fatone, plus take pictures and get autographs. Naturally, there is a chance to spend more than the $75 admission fee by throwing down for entry to an afterparty ($250, but Murray is buying the first round) and an option to add fast pass and priority seating ($20).

And if you’re worried about the rising number of new coronavirus cases and deaths (15,431 and 100, statewide on Tuesday; 2,136 and 31 in Tampa Bay), don’t fret—there’s a COVID-19 waiver for anyone who wants to go to the show.

A rep for EJB Entertainment, which is handling PR for the event, told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay that a maximum of 100 tickets are being sold for each Q&A and that the afterparty would be "much smaller."

A rep for Topgolf Tampa—located at 10690 Palm River Rd. near Brandon—told CL that despite being allowed to be 100% open, the venue is still limiting capacity throughout the facility. The rep added that the EJB event would see folks flowing in and out and that the Q&A being held on the upstairs outside terrace allows for social-distancing.

More information on the Tampa appearance—plus one on Jan. 16 at Topgolf Orlando—is available at ejbevents.com.
