St. Pete’s League of Women Voters hosts collaborative immigration talk next week

It happens at Hope and Props.

It’s important that we all know our rights, and The League of Women Voters of the St. Petersburg Area's Immigration Action Team is making sure that the immigrants of Tampa Bay especially do. During the Barriers to Entry: An Immigration Conversation with the League event, immigrants from both Tampa Bay and the border between Brownsville, Texas and Matamoros, Mexico will discuss their personal experiences, related legislation, what to do if ICE detains you, and what political steps we can take next. Don’t think of this as an educational event—but a collaborative conversation.

Barriers to Entry: An Immigration Conversation with the League. Mon. Feb. 3, 6:30 p.m.-7:30p.m. Free. Hops and Props, 335 2nd Ave. NE., Saint Petersburg. Lwvspa.org
