If you’ve always called bullshit on calling it RiffTrax instead of MST3K, you likely already know the original Mystery Science Theater cast (and then some) will reunite live on stage for one night only in the straightforwardly-named MST3K Reunion Show. Instead of choosing a single movie, the gang will riff on a series of educational videos (we realize how stupid this sounds if you’ve never seen MST3K or RiffTrax, and it is, but in a ridiculously hysterical, geeky way) and other short films. They promise to end the evening with a “super-riff-a-pa-looza.” While the Tampa Bay area has two simulcast showings of the sold-out Minneapolis performance, take our advice and head to the Sundial in St. Pete, because at the last RiffTrax we attended at that other theater that frequently shows RiffTrax, the German cockroaches took all the good seats.
