Cindy Wilson and her band — The B-52’s — are responsible for some of the best New Wave jams ever, but what does the 60-year-old style and music icon listen to when she wants to let loose?

Tame Impala and Temples, apparently.

UPDATE: For kicks, we've added Wilson's interview with our friends at Cigar City Radio. Listen below.

“At different times, it’s a different answer,” Wilson told Creative Loafing Tampa. “I’ve been listening to Tame Impala and Temples lately so that’s my go-to for what I’m listening to right now. I love that sound.”

She goes on to talk about learning to love 70s and 80s tunes again, and admits to some James Brown adoration, but it’s pretty cool to see that the woman behind “Rock Lobster” and “Love Shack” is as big of a hipster as we are.
