Tuesday morning, Allegiant Air announced the addition of two new nonstop routes from Michigan and Pennsylvania to St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport.

According to an announcement from Allegiant, routes to and from Traverse City, Michigan, will open on October 16, while flights to and from State College, Pennsylvania, will begin on October 18. The announcement comes as the airline says that three new cities and 10 new routes have been added to their national air service.

Due to growing demand, these new routes will operate twice per week and are estimated to bring some 36,000 passengers to the Tampa Bay area annually.

“We’ve seen pent-up demand in these markets for nonstop, ultra-low-cost service to the Tampa Bay area, and we’re excited to offer travelers the chance to enjoy everything this gorgeous destination has to offer,” said Drew Wells, Allegiant vice president of planning and revenue in a statement.

Through Wednesday, Allegiant is offering prices as low as $69 for one-way trips on these new routes to celebrate the announcement of the launch.
