In this increasingly electronic age, there’s something refreshing about The Chris Robinson Brotherhood, a band composed of five heavily bearded musicians playing psychedelic roots music. Since taking a break from the Black Crowes to form his Brotherhood 2011 and releasing two critically acclaimed albums the following year, Chris Robinson has been delivering highly entrancing performances all over the U.S. From hypnotic guitar passages to soulful piano, the Brotherhood makes music that’s like chicken soup for the classic rock lover’s soul. The band recorded fourth forthcoming studio album, Anyway You Love…, in California and according to Robinson, it’ll have a more “soulful, southern gospel feel” than much of his work to date. If you’re seeking positive vibes and great great music, State Theatre is the place to be for a night you won’t regret. 7 p.m. doors, State Theatre, St. Petersburg, $25.
