The New Yorker called Nick Payne’s Constellations a “singular astonishment,” and Jobsite Theater’s Summer Bohnenkamp has been given the challenge of directing the Bay area production of the young British playwright’s work from July 12-August 6.

Two of the region’s best actors (Georgia Mallory Guy and Giles Davies) have been tapped to help tell the story of a theoretical physicist and urban beekeeper who find themselves exploring purpose, purposelessness, choice and destiny while killer stage design entertains the eyes. Science, it turns out, can be quite sumptuous, and this one invites you to use the practice to fall in love.

Fri., July 12-Sun., July 14. Jobsite Theater at David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts, 1010 N. Macinnes Pl., Tampa. Jobsitetheater.org.
