Remember a few months ago when the Rolling Stones symbol was popping up on billboards and buildings throughout the Tampa Riverwalk?
Well, all of that nuanced, cryptic promotion for the classic rock band’s upcoming Tampa concert was basically for no reason, because the Stones have postponed their upcoming “No Filter” tour amidst public health concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.
Announced via Twitter on March 17, the aging classic rock act stated, “We’re hugely disappointed to have to postpone the tour. We are sorry to all the fans who were looking forward to it as much as we were.”
The Rolling Stones was supposed to play to a crowd of rock fans at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium on July 5—one of the 15 tour dates that have been postponed.
AEG Presents and Concerts West advise all ticket holders to keep their original tickets and wait for further information. Original tickets will most likely be honored at the rescheduled date, whenever that is. For the full spread of canceled “No Filter” tour dates, visit rollingstones.com.
Almost all upcoming events and large gatherings throughout Tampa Bay have been recalled or postponed—check cltampa.com for a running list of coronavirus-related cancellations.
