The Sword w/UME The Sword is what happens when a hard-rock lyricist melds a love for fantasy and science fiction with an adoration of Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. The doomy metal quartet from Austin, Texas plays in support of its 2018 album, Used Future, at this Ybor City show where another Austin band (UME) opens the show. (Orpheum, Ybor City) INFO

The Alarm The Alarm came of age in a time when other early-'80s bands like The Call, Big Country and The Waterboys were all developing their sounds, but it’s taken the Welsh alternative rock and new wave band this long to make a return trip to Tampa Bay, where it hasn’t played since 1984. Sure, The Alarm never had a hit album the way U2 (another band that was around when The Alarm was trying to make its own way) did, but we’re expecting fans to show up in full force at this Tuesday night, downtown Clearwater gig. SCARY GOOD
Concert review: Taylor Swift brings Idina Menzel to Tampa, treats fans to the Best Halloween Ever

✔️ Taylor Swift w/Camila Cabello/Charli XCX Taylor Swift has been giving fans some epic surprises on her 2018 tour supporting a new album, Reputation. So while Robbie Williams, Bryan Adams, Hayley Kiyoko and even One Direction’s Niall Horan have all appeared on recent dates (Idina Menzel and Alessia Cara showed up two years ago when Swift played Tampa), there’s no telling who’ll actually be there on Tuesday when one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) tours of the year arrives at Raymond James. Even the openers – “Havana”-singing pop superstar Camila Cabello and English breakout sensation Charli XCX — are big draws themselves, and appear in a show which also includes gigantic inflatable snakes, stadium-sized screens, fountains, thrones and tons of pyro. What we do know is that the show is one of the most opulent and grandiose on the road right now, and that is no surprise to anyone. (Raymond James Stadium, Tampa) INFO
