Be quiet, and listen closely. Can you hear that? That's Tuesday, clawing its way out of the grave.

The U.S. Coast Guard offloaded more than two tons of marijuana in St. Pete that it seized while patrolling the Caribbean over the last 71 days, and did not even smoke the city out, blatantly violating universally recognized "you show, you share" pothead etiquette.

Pinellas and Manatee County Commissioners both said they aren't going to pay for the additional school resource officers (read: cops) that a recently passed state law requires be stationed in every school, passing the buck they never agreed to back up to the state and over to their respective school districts. And cue frustrated parents arming their children in 3, 2...

And finally, still speaking of area schools, the family of a Pasco first-grader who took a knee in class during the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance and was reprimanded by his teacher in front of the class is suing the school district, the school's principal and the teacher. They claim the teacher and institution violated the kid's First and Fourteenth Amendment rights and subjected him to ridicule and humiliation. Which they probably technically did — in the same way that my job violates my rights by not allowing me to twerk and scream the lyrics to 2 Live Crew's "Face Down, Ass Up" during management meetings.
