BEST PLACE TO DRINK CHEAP BEER AND WATCH BONANZA: Tiny Tap Tavern

South Tampa’s SoHo district is fat with tony watering holes that serve $8 cocktails to dudes who drive Beamers and only date gals with fake tans and obnoxious boob jobs. Located in the thick of all the chic madness, on W. Morrison Avenue across from yuppie joints like The Lime, stands the fortified bunker of the Tiny Tap Tavern. Go there for happy hour and watch old Bonanza reruns with the regulars, or shoot pool at night with the hipsters while listening to great jukebox selections by the likes of Tom Waits. Either way, it’s a great alternative to the phoniness that blankets the area like a giant tarp of perfumed cellophane. Oh, and be sure to order a 16-oz. bottle of Budweiser, which will run ya a mere $2.50.
