Millionyoung/Sigh Kicks/T3ddy Ruxpin (LONER Art Show Opening) The Bends — just off Central Avenue in downtown St. Petersburg — is a highly social, classy dive where friends of all stripes gather to bond over mostly two things: booze and art. So why throw a LONER into the mix? Because the mythical misanthrope arrives at the hands of former CL creative director Todd Bates who is presenting documents which prove the existence of a mysterious, bigfoot-like creature roaming the eastern seaboard. The show runs through December 1, but Bates & The Bends are inviting a pair of Magic City dance music maestros into the mix for an opening reception where Sigh Kicks will dole out indie-pop like their 2015 single “Around Downtown” right before Millionyoung takes over the floor for a set of ass-rattling, introspective chillwave.
