Dunedin Fine Art Center fills its four galleries with an array of fine art that focuses on and explores different aspects of the human body. The Human Element: The Figure in Colored Pencil — a competition juried by Rita Mach Skoczen, Colored Pencil Society of America member and Michigan artist — features works by gifted artists from across the nation. A second show, Living Color, showcases the gallery's own Melissa Miller Nece, as well as DFAC's colored-pencil students. And in Body Language: Figurative Studies by DFAC Students & Faculty, artists deal with the human figure using various media, from oil paintings to ceramics. The exhibits are unveiled this weekend at the opening reception, which occurs from 7 to 9 p.m. Fri., Feb. 24 ($5 general/free to members). Feb. 25-April 7, 1143 Michigan Blvd., Dunedin, free admission, 727-298-3322, www.dfac.org.
