If you’re even thinking about getting a new dog or cat, maybe consider celebrating our nation’s independence this week by liberating one of the many shelter animals in Tampa Bay.

Right now the Hillsborough County’s Pet Resource Center is at 112% capacity for dogs and 142% for cats. So, starting Tuesday, July 2, the shelter will waive all adoption fees for all cats and dogs. Plus, every adoption will include a free ID tag and three-month supply of flea prevention.

Hillsborough County’s Pet Resource Center is located at 440 N. Falkenburg Road, and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
