New Music Friday has come to be an exciting — and daunting — day when a boatload of new albums arrive on streaming services and record stores shelves. It can be hard to wade through the curated, meticulously placed content on services like Spotify and Apple Music, but we've pulled out an album by an act coming to Tampa Bay in the coming weeks.

There are mixed attitudes about Latino culture these days, and J. Balvin knows that. In 2015, he pulled out of a Miss USA broadcast to protest disrespectful comments about Latinos by contest owner Donald Trump. Good news for people like Trump is that Balvin's music will be all over the place this summer. "Positivo" — the 33-year-old Colombian's song with Michael Brun is Telemundo's 2018 Deportes World Cup song, and Balvin's new album of warm Latin pop, Vibras, is bringing him to arenas across the country.

J. Balvin plays the Sun Dome at the University of South Florida on Saturday, October 27. Doors are at 8 p.m., and tickets start at $56.20. More information is available via sundomearena.com. (Listen: Spotify / Apple Music)
