Following the death of owner Jason Mitow back in November, The Lucky Dill location in the Westshore business district has now closed.
The closure, which was confirmed by Mitow’s lawyer to the Tampa Bay Business Journal, comes shortly after the restaurant’s bankruptcy case was dismissed back in early December.
However, according to the publication, a 2018 lawsuit involving Lucky Dill’s investors is still open, after Mitow spent $8 million to open the location, which was allegedly a "whopping five times the initial budget."
The massive Westshore Lucky Dill, located at 4606 W. Boy Scout Blvd., opened last year and not only focused on New York-style deli cuisine, but it also featured a combined bar and nightclub called New York Kitchen & Lounge.
The restaurant's other location in Palm Harbor remains open.
