Pleasures: Body Pop Katherine Kelly Larson never seemed to be running away from anything specifically when she hit the road on seeming countless extended tours across the country, but the Pleasures principal seems to have found another layer of herself on the new album from her long-running pysch-rock band.

A happy marriage of the millions of ideas bouncing around the band’s new three-piece lineup (longtime Larson collaborator Morgan Soltes, new-ish drummer Roger Lanfranchi), Body Pop also explores a new level of happiness that Larson found after getting married while still touching some of the desolate themes, like worthlessness, which got attention on previous Pleasures releases.
