Nun's the Word

THEATER

In Nunsense, the five surviving members of the Little Sisters of Hoboken convent put on a talent show to raise money so they can afford the burial arrangements of their 52 recently departed sisters, who were obliterated by botulism after eating Sister Julie Child of God's vichyssoise. Now, I don't know about you, but alarm bells would have started ringing as soon as the cold French soup was served — I mean, vichyssoise at a convent just screams BAD IDEA. But whatever, the play has singing, dancing nuns, spontaneous comic interludes, and, c'mon, nun rhymes with fun — you know you were thinking it! Through May 7, 8 p.m. Thurs.-Sat., 2 p.m. Sun., St. Petersburg Little Theatre, 4025 31st St. S., St. Petersburg, $20 general/$10 students with I.D., 727-866-1973, www.splt.info.
