Tonight in live music; Peter & Julian Frampton, a concert at UT's Sykes Chapel, more

Baby, I love your way

PNC Bank Concert Series: Liz Callaway Would you like to see a concert at one of Tampa Bay’s most beautiful unknown venues? Step foot into the Sykes Chapel at the University of Tampa where Liz Callaway brings a songbook that taps into her Emmy and Tony award winning career in film and Broadway. Your inner child will recognize the voice from 1997 animated film Anastasia (the 55-year-old Chicago-native was homegirl's singing voice) and your parents might recognize her for her roles in Broadway classics Baby, Cats and Miss Saigon. The best part? No cover. (Sykes Chapel at University of Tampa, Tampa) INFO

Peter & Julian Frampton There is no doubt that Peter Frampton fans more than know their way around "Do You Feel Like I Do," "Show Me the Way" and "Baby, I Love Your Way." If you’re a millennial reading this, please know that it’s been four decades since that tattered copy of Frampton Comes Alive! landed in your mom & dad’s record collection. Expect the 66-year-old Grammy-winning guitarist to pay homage to the live concert classic at this show, but know that the appearance will be a stripped down (so no talkbox??) performance where Frampton will be joined his constant collaborator and co-producer, Gordon Kennedy.

Also joining the party? Peter’s son Julian who’ll help dad and open the show. Those unsure about seeing their hero unplugged should consult Frampton’s new album, Acoustic Classics, which is a solid reminder that it’s possible for rockers to age with grace. (Capitol Theatre, Clearwater) INFO
