Is a “real Jew” volatile, self-assured, and unbending? This Amy Resnick-directed take on Joshua Harmon's Bad Jews explores that, and what happens when a group of cousins (including a secular Jewish man and his shiksa girlfriend) end up fighting over Grandpa's necklace after the funeral. It's a comedic exploration of family, faith and legacy — and it probably isn't for the thin-skinned, either.
Bonus: If you loved Echoes at Urbanite, you have your chance to see Kate Berg again — she played Tillie in the two-woman show down in Sarasota. CL's Cathy Salustri gave it five stars, saying the worst thing she could write would be that the seats could be more comfortable. Berg was one-half of the cast, so catch her again in St. Petersburg.
