Two years after making its debut in SoHo, Taco Dirty has its sights on expanding across the bridge in the ‘Burg. The restaurant bills itself as refined Mexican, filtered through the healthy lens of Ciccio Restaurant Group.

CRG is a Thanos grip on Tampa Bay with concepts scattered on both sides of the bridge including Green Lemon, Fresh Kitchen, Luv Child, and Better Byrd.

Taco Dirty posted Friday, August 7, “This is how rumors get started #TacoDirty #StPete #ComingSoon” on Instagram. The post was flooded with comments and received over 400 likes.

The fast-casual restaurant is known for its wide variety of bowls that can fit into any dietary preferences including plant-based and gluten-free. Diners can also grab tacos, $3.25 for one, $8.50 for three. Taco Dirty offers a hefty number of sides like chips and dip (guac, salsa and queso), street corn, crispy buffalo avocado broccoli, as well as rice and beans.

When it comes to sips, diners can opt for sparkling or bottled water, soda, unsweetened tea or frozen margaritas.

Taco Dirty will be met with some competition with fellow fast-casual bowl joints like Grumpy Gringo and Poppo’s Taqueria. Do we smell another taco turf war?

In the meantime, Taco Dirty is going strong slinging eats at 2221 Platt St. in SoHo 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Friday, noon-9:30 p.m. Saturday, and noon-9 p.m. Sunday.

By the way, diners can get 10% off their first online order using code “FirstTime” and is available for pickup and delivery via DoorDash, Uber Eats, and GrubHub.

More details to come as a location and projected opening date is announced.
