Rocco's Tacos & Tequila Bar has announced its grand opening date at Tampa's International Plaza.
All this food editor can say is 'bout time.
The anticipated eighth location for the South Florida-based Mexican restaurant brand — and the first outpost on the state's west coast — has been in progress at 2223 N. Westshore Blvd. for far too long. However, the public is invited to get a sneak peek of the new dining spot (at last!), starting at 7 p.m. Feb. 11.
Accompanying live entertainment and a cash bar, three signature Rocco's Tacos offerings — chips, tableside guac and salsa — are on the house during the celebration. And remember: When the word "tequila" echoes throughout the lively sit-down restaurant, which offers 300-plus varieties of the aforementioned spirit, co-owner Rocco Mangel pours complimentary shots for guests from the top of the bar.
Rocco's Tacos carries additional menu items like salads, combination plates, enchiladas, tortas, molcajete bowls, and, of course, tacos. Dinner service at the Tampa location begins on Feb. 12, followed by lunch on Feb. 19.
