Why is Guy Fieri opening a restaurant at Disney Springs? Because he’s buds with restaurateur Robert Earl, the founder and chairman of Planet Hollywood, apparently.

Earl and Fieri have collaborated on culinary projects in the past, but their new joint venture is Chicken Guy! (lol), which is billed as a fast-casual chicken chain — and complete with buzz words like “all natural” and “hand pounded.”

Now, I understand “antibiotic free,” but “hand pounded?” Come on, dude.

Chicken Guy! is the latest addition to the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, where the flagship location’s menu spotlights grilled or fried chicken tenders and an array of sauces. The tenders — brined in fresh lemon juice, pickle brine and buttermilk, then infused with fresh herbs — are presented in everything from sandwiches and skewers to bowls. Guests are encouraged to pair ’em with sides like mac, fried pickles and slaw.

And just in case you thought the indoor-outdoor, “whimsical”-looking Chicken Guy! — slated to open sometime over the summer — would leave Fieri’s signature catchphrases out of this, a couple of “Flavortown Frozen Treats” are also planned: triple-chocolate and double-mint ice cream, plus vanilla soft serve covered in Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Apple Jacks.

“I’m stoked to be building Chicken Guy! with my friend, Robert Earl,” Fieri said in a statement. “It’s all about the real deal, all-natural chicken but lemme tell you, our sauce game is on point.”

We shall see.
