For weeks, Republicans have seized on President Obama's comment suggesting entrepreneurs didn't make it on their own, better known as the "you didn't build that" comment.
On Tuesday, the GOP referenced the comment when announcing its lineup of next Tuesday night's RNC speakers, with the theme "We Built This."
The underlying theme could also be "I coulda been a contender," as the line-up is studded with Republicans who were considered, at least in the media, to be possible running mates of presumptive nominee Mitt Romney, who ultimately chose Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan.
The lineup includes Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, New Hampshire Sen. Kelly Ayotte, New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who will close out the night as the keynote speaker in prime time.
