The finale of Top Chef was a nail biting, rollercoaster ride. Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a little, but it was by far the most engaging episode of the season (as it should be).
Personally, I was a little surprised by the outcome (don't worry, no spoilers in the post - you'll have to listen to the podcast) but I don't think any of the three would have been the 'wrong' choice for the winner. They all worked their asses off and performed incredibly well under pressure, especially considering all of the curveballs thrown at them (i.e.: the surprise extra courses and being given crappy sous chefs).
I'm not going to say much here because we really covered it all in this week's podcast (and I don't want to ruin it for anyone). We actually talked about the food for once! And don't worry, just because the show is over doesn't mean our podcast is - we'll be back for at least a few more episodes with some surprise Top Chef guests! So tune in next week to see who we'll be chatting it up with about Top Chef Las Vegas.
Highlights: Jeff talks about his meeting with AngryBro (Mike V.) last week, we analyze each course the chef's prepared, Jeff does his best Padma impression, and we taste test some Alexia chips to see if they're really "all that and a bag of chips".
