Mitch Perry Report 10.31.11

Happy Halloween everybody, as if you didn't just have a weekend to revel in such festivities associated with the secular holiday.

Although there were a couple of arrests (the first ones involving felony charges) regarding the Occupy Tampa movement over the weekend, that pales in comparison with the dozens of arrests that took place at Occupy events across the country, including the arrest of a Nashville Scene reporter in Nashville (The Scene's corporate owner is SouthComm, which recently purchased CL).

Overnight reports have surfaced about Herman Cain being involved with lawsuits involving sexual harassment claims. This is a far cry from having to deal with people tripping out about his surreal cigarette smoking ad from last week, which infuriated a couple of Sunday morning network news personalities.

Texas Governor Rick Perry is trying to mount a comeback. Part of that includes television ads and also finally sitting down and answering questions on the Sunday morning circuit, which he did beginning yesterday on Fox News Sunday.
