With Paul Ryan making campaign stops in Ocala and Fort Myers on Thursday, it was no surprise that the Democratic National Committee would host a conference call with a spokesperson bashing the Romney-Ryan ticket.
However the choice of campaign surrogate was a little spicier than usual in the person of former Florida Republican Governor Charlie Crist.
The now independent Crist, a private citizen who may or may not consider a run for governor in 2014 as a Democrat, endorsed Barack Obama back in August and has been treated with respect by Democratic party officials ever since, including being given a speaking slot at last month's party convention in Charlotte.
