Saturday Afternoon Live

Renowned Pink Floyd guitarist/singer-songwriter David Gilmour debuts his new 85-minute live concert DVD, Remember That Night — Live at the Royal Albert Hall, in a one-day theatrical event hosted this Saturday by 111 movie theaters nationwide. Gilmour plays songs from his 2006 solo album, On An Island, along with various Floyd standards, among them, "Echoes," a lengthy, wandering, spacey number that's presented in its entirety for the first time in two decades. Also of note is a performance of Floyd's first single, "Arnold Layne," with special guest musicians David Crosby, Graham Nash and David Bowie.

The screening opens with a one-song performance by Gilmour staged live via satellite from London and concludes with a question-and-answer session with Gilmour; everything is presented in high-definition and with surround sound. The DVD is released Tues., Sept. 18.
