It’s going to be a long, hot summer.

And I’m not just talking about the weather.

We’ve got fire, or rather firings, in D.C. (Perhaps the president thinks he’s still on The Apprentice.)

We’ve got a mayoral election heating up in St. Pete. (Pick your Rick.)

And we’re already deep into the dog days with the Rays. (No hits from Evan? Errors by Kevin? Sigh.)

And yes, the weather is already threatening to go full-on daily summertime. Actually, this transplanted Northerner doesn’t mind the heat anymore, but even the most hardened sun-worshipper would have to admit that the seasonal shift was particularly brutal this year. A gorgeous spring and then, boom! The last weekend of April jumped right up into the 90s.

So here at CL we’re offering you a cool-down:

Summer Guide 2017.

Cool escapes and cooler music.

Chill entertainment and rooftop bars.

Ice-cold cocktails and booze-infused popsicles (with a few tips on avoiding brain freeze).

Shady trees and shadier business. (What did you say you did in that swimming pool?)

Plus all you need to know about where to camp, swim, splash, slurp and stay cool all summer long, And so much more. Click around, and stay cool.
