Do This: Third Thursday in the EDGE, Hyde Park Cafe Pop-up and MFA's Porch Party

Do some holiday shopping tonight and relax and with something different groovy. This evening is Third Thursday in the EDGE, a monthly festival that is bigger this month in time for holiday shopping needs. More than 30 businesses in the neighborhood around Central and 9-16th streets are participating, with specials, live music, street performers and holiday treats. The Third Thursday Market will also host 20 eclectic vendors, music by The Wandering Madman, and a Welcome Booth, where you can get your maps, pub crawl wristbands, free raffle tickets, and take the "Walk to the EDGE" challenge. 4-9 p.m.; Welcome Booth and Market is at the 11th Street roundabout, between Central Ave. and First Ave. N. Park along Central Avenue, and in the free and untimed parking lot next to Furnish Me Vintage at 1246 Central. Click here for more info on the EDGE District.

Also in St. Pete: The Museum of Fine Arts hosts its third Thursday Porch Party. Only $5 for nonmembers, the event allows you to peruse the museum galleries open until 8 p.m. No RSVP required. Coinciding with tonight's event will be Tracy Arrington's Trunk Show.

Clubby types who dig techno and electronic music, and contemporary visual art, can attend an event that unites two lounges on both sides of the Bay. The Hyde Park Cafe's Pop Up Event, hosted by Alchemy Art Lounge in Tarpon Springs will feature live art demonstrations, showcasing the work of Hard Bodies Yo, Frankenshark and more. Tickets are $55 for events into the evening and includes a party bus that goes between both venues. Bus leaves Alchemy Tarpon at 8:15 and doors open in Tampa at 9. Call 727-940-5224 for other details.
