Next weekend, Safety Harbor Waterfront Park will host the 5th Annual Beer & Burger Throw Down, presented by Morgan Exteriors Inc., on April 20.

For five bucks admission, guests can receive free beer samples from six craft breweries, and over 40 burgers from local restaurants in food trucks from around Tampa Bay.

There will be a collective vote for the "People's Choice Best Burger" and "Best Craft Beer."

The event runs from noon to 6 p.m., and will feature live music by bands like Radio Crime, Stone Grey and Tom Petty tribute band The Petty Hearts.

This is a family-friendly event, and dogs are welcome. Be sure to bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating for the gang.

There is a $7 all-you-can-play kids zone and a large outdoor game area.

Active military members and children under 12 get in free.

A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Chi Chi Rodriguez Foundation as well as the Safety Harbor Chamber of Commerce.

Safety Harbor Waterfront Park is located at 110 Veterans Memorial Lane; parking is free.
