Saul Williams/Trent Reznor offer free album

Radiohead wasn't the only major act to give fans a freebie this year. Actor/poet/rapper/singer Saul Williams teamed with Trent Reznor for the radically refreshing hip-hop-gone-industrial album The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of Niggy Tardust!, which can be downloaded for free (or you can give a donation ya cheap fucks) at NiggyTardust.com.

Among the highlights is a revamped version of U2's "Sunday Bloody Sunday" that makes the rousing original sound pedestrian in comparison. I'm still digesting Niggy Tardust but will give it a proper review in the near future.

Let the record show: while in college and writing for the USF Oracle, I put Williams' criminally underrated Amethyst Rock Star in the final slot of my 2001 Top Ten List.
