The wafting scent of curry and coriander is sure to lead locals to the St. Pete Shuffleboard Club this Friday as it becomes the setting for India Night 2007. The St. Petersburg International Folk Fair Festival Society in collaboration with the Volunteers of India Culture and Arts Society host the event, which celebrates the culture of the Earth's second-most populous country via tastes, tunes and classical dance. Other enticements include yoga instruction, a street bazaar and, of course, shuffleboard, which we all know originated in the Indus valley. Or not.
