The Historic Roser Park neighborhood is St. Pete’s Brigadoon. No, it’s not as elusive as that legendary Scottish village, which, according to the Broadway musical of the same name, was only visible once every 100 years. But Roser Park’s location — tucked just south of downtown behind Bayfront hospital, its brick roads winding along Booker Creek — has kept it a secret even from some who’ve lived in Tampa Bay for years. If you’ve never encountered its hilly, leafy environs, or even if you have, this weekend’s the ideal time to pay a visit: the Historic Roser Park Tour of Homes opens the doors to eight homes and gardens, some never open to the public before.
Sat., April 2, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., $15 in advance, $20 day of. Free parking at Bayfront parking garage, 600 7th Ave. S.; ticket and check-in booth at Ronald McDonald House, 702 8th Ave. S. Golf carts will provide transportation between tour locations.
