This weekend, Jo Jo the rescue dog's stint working at a local pool company came to an end.

Suncoast Animal League took in JoJo as a rescue from Alabama last year, and although he's been in a foster home, he's hadn't yet found a forever home. JoJo started looking for a part-time job, according to Suncoast Animal League's founder Rick Chaboudy, in early January, after 279 days in a foster home. Chaboudy's been keeping JoJo's fans informed of the dog's adventures with Facebook posts labeled 'On the Go With JoJo.'

After a short search, JoJo took a "job" with EastLake Pinch A Penny (pending the results of a somewhat sloppy urine test). Despite a somewhat embarrassing incident where someone's chicken lunch disappeared from the break room, JoJo settled into his role as official store greeter.

This past weekend, however, JoJo quit his job.

JoJo typed his own resignation letter, which made it somewhat hard to read, to say the least. Chaboudy offered to decipher the letter.

"I know how to read JoJo-isms," he said.

JoJo the rescue dog let Suncoast Animal League founder "translate" the letter of resignation at Saturday's adoption event in north Clearwater.

"As much as I appreciate working there, it's sad for me to say to you I have to turn in my resignation letter," Chaboudy translated.

The reason?

"He wants to spend more time with his family," Chaboudy explained.

After almost a year without a fur-ever home, JoJo went home with one Saturday afternoon.

His adoption was one of 94 for Suncoast Animal League this past weekend, part of a two-day adoption event at the Countryside PetSmart.

Here's the video of a pretty excited former shelter dog with his new family.
