Thursday, Ybor City's Tampa Bay Brewing Company will debut four beers on their recently installed Randall beer infusion system.

As Hoppy Trails Beer News describes, "the Randall is an organoleptic hop transducer module, a double-chamber filter that you connect to a tap of your favorite beer and fill with flavor-enhancing ingredients."

The organoleptic hop transducer module (wasn't that featured on Star Trek?) simply means beer enters a chamber from the bottom up, creating ideal beer-hop relations for even more ideal beer consumption. Beer gets direct contact with fresh hops (or other flavor-enhancing substances) adding a pop of flavor.

Delware's Dogfish Head Brewing is credited with inventing the filter.

Thursday, Tampa Bay Brewing Co., will debut four Randall-filter beers including: Old Elephant Foot IPA through Amarillo hops, Old Elephant Foot IPA through Centennial hops, Midnight Crossing BIPA through Amarillo hops, and Midnight Crossing BIPA through Centennial hops.

Thursday, Tampa Bay Brewing Co., prices vary, 4 p.m., 1600 E. Eight Ave., Tampa, 813-247-1422.
