...is David Millner, a New Jersey-based political consultant who has done 100s of thousands of dollars of media buys and production for the Republican Party of Florida. In the 2006 elections, he produced Ronda Storms' TV ads in her successful Florida Senate race.
Here's the six degrees of separation: Millner has done work for Sen. Ken Pruitt, who is close to Harrison's other campaign consultant, Public Concepts Inc.
Millner produced Tampa City Councilman Shawn Harrison's ad, which ran on broadcast TV this weekend. (For those who missed it, you can download it here.)
Now, let's not go crazy with the whole guilt by association thing. Harrison is no Ronda Storms. Nor is he the only person using partisan consultants in this nonpartisan race. There are no such things as nonpartisan consultants any more. And for the record, his opponent, Mary Mulhern, is using Democratic consultant Mitch Kates, whose last client was Sen. Charlie Justice of St. Pete.
(My usual disclaimers in this race are here.)
