A popular coffee and tea hangout near the University of South Florida has opened another location a couple miles away.
The second cafe for Tampa's Felicitous, whose flagship launched inside a little purple house in 2010, debuted March 15 on the ground floor of the Uncommon apartment complex at 14204 N. 42nd St. But its grand opening celebration took place over the weekend, showcasing menu items like espresso, smoothies, pastries and a new arrival: gelato.
Bigger than its older sibling, Felicitous on 42nd carries the same cozy, artsy vibe and a similar selection of baked goods, including gluten-free and vegan options. While there's no dedicated parking lot, that's all the more reason to walk or bike.
The cafe is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
