Bite Squad hit St. Pete and Tampa back in April.

Bite Squad, launched in Tampa and St. Petersburg earlier this year, joined forces with Feeding Tampa Bay on Monday to reach more bellies. A collective action against hunger that the restaurant delivery service has formed with other nonprofits around the country, their Food Love partnership provides hot meals to folks who truly need them through donations from Bite Squad customers.

Locals interested in making a contribution are asked to place an order with promotional code FEEDINGTAMPA. Bite Squad will then donate $1 to Feeding Tampa Bay for every code used through Nov. 30 (new customers receive free delivery at checkout as well).

“While it is our job to deliver food that people love to hungry customers, we are keenly aware of our neighbors who are battling true hunger,” said Liz Sniegocki, field marketing manager for Bite Squad, in a statement. “Through our Food Love partnership, we’re collaborating with outstanding local organizations to give back and help fight hunger in the communities we serve.”

In Florida, additional Food Love partners for the Minneapolis-based delivery service, which merged with FoodNow and Doorstep Delivery upon its expansion into the Bay area, are Sarasota’s All Faiths Food Bank and Gainesville’s Bread of the Mighty Food Bank.
