Pivotal Movement's debut full-length I M as U R offers a laidback brand of electro-pop that should resonate with fans of emo bands. PM's Ryan Mitchell is the man behind the curtain, programming the sci-fi '80s beats and singing/chanting lyrics about young love and making love quietly because the gal's old man is in the next room. Mitchell doesn't encumber his lyrics with excessive noise. The disc is full of subtle lines of synthetic sound — often sustained chords that have a lost-in-the-airport, Brian Eno feel to them. 2.5 stars
