Get in on another round of Tarpons Springs cooking lessons from noon to 2 p.m. over the next three Saturdays.

Held at the historic Safford House, the $20 classes, presented by the Center for Gulf Coast Folklife, will feature community cooks Anastasios "Taso" Karistinos, Dimitri Salivaras and Lola Mihalakis. The instructors will each lead a class focused on recipes from one region of Greece.

Kartistinos, a sponge boat captain, will highlight baklava and stewed green beans with lamb during his Feb. 21 sponge-boat eats seminar, while chef Salivaras, who owns Dimitri's on the Water, will make Cyclades-style tomato fritters, chicken fricassee kikladiko and pasta with caramelized onions Feb. 28.

And on March 7, Peloponnese goat and vegetable soup, as well as halva cake, will be showcased by Mihalakis.

The lessons have a 12-student limit, and everyone digs into the food together afterward. Interested participants should call 727-942-5605 to reserve their spot.
