Sudeep Vyapari - Contributor

Sudeep Vyapari started out with a green thumb and now has a green brain—every time Sudeep gets an idea, a compact fluorescent light appears over his head. After earning his PhD in Environmental Horticulture, Sudeep taught and conducted research at institutions of higher education for over 18 years and continues to expand his connection with the Earth. Currently, Sudeep is the Program Director of the Institute of Florida Studies (IFS), a program at Hillsborough Community College dedicated to environmental education and outreach. Through his work at IFS, Sudeep’s indefatigable and contagious passion for the environment and sustainable living has flourished through numerous grant funded initiatives and community partnerships in the greater Tampa Bay Region. He is one of the founding members of the HCC Sustainability Council which aims to bring sustainability to the forefront of the College’s agenda. Sudeep continues to spearhead the HCC Sustainability Council movement in the capacity of Sustainability Coordinator for the College. His other passions are study of herbs and medicinal properties of herbs used for culinary purposes, and spirituality.
