Yesterday, The Galley in St. Pete announced that it will be closed from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. this Saturday, May 25 to honor the loss of their beloved employee Dave Kohl. Once the tavern reopens at 1 p.m., it will be back running until 3 a.m., their usual closing time. 

"As The Galley honors one of our own, Dave Kohl and his journey to new shores." 

Earlier this week, The Galley reposted an intimate post by the owner, Pete Boland, regarding Kohl's passing and how instrumental Kohl had been to the tavern during his years of service. 

"It is with infinite sadness, and deep regret that I am to inform you all that our dear friend, and loyal hand in the kitchen[..]"
