Leading Congressional Democrat to speak in Tampa in November

South Carolina Democratic Representative James Clyburn, the highest ranking black member in Congress, will be coming to Tampa next month to speak.

Clyburn will be coming to town to speak at the 8th Annual Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Award Luncheon, hosted by the Gulf Ridge Council and the Boy Scouts of America on Thursday, November 8.

The event will take place at Higgins Hall at 11:30 a.m. The 2011 recipients of the Young Award are Judge Chris Altenbernd of the Second District Court of Appeal, a current Scoutmaster of Troop 100 at Academy Prep Center in Ybor, Earl Silas from the Tampa Police Department, the Cub Master of Pack 1952 in Sulpher Springs, and the gang that are our Hillsborough County Board of Commissioners.
