The team behind the nearly 1-year-old HiFi Homebrew and BBQ Supply are set to open Clearwater's latest craft brewery in 2016.
Dubbed
Grindhaus Brew Lab
, referencing a film style that owners and local beer champions Robb Larson and Lisa Colburn admire, the B- and cult cinema-themed brewery will be housed inside Larson and Colburn's HiFi Homebrew at 1650 N. Hercules Ave.
With friend and cohort Tony Vincenti, an award-winning homebrewer who's assisted at the supply shop from the start, also on board, the new brewery will focus on high-quality, drinkable beer. A core lineup of ales is planned alongside seasonal and limited-release offerings.
Inside the modern, industrial tasting room, ample seating will be featured, as well as recurring events like movie nights, beer tastings and educational classes.
Colburn and Larson, who wanted to add to HiFi Homebrew's success by fashioning a brewery on site, are inviting the region to get in on their journey through an
Indiegogo campaign
.
